In Celebration of the Centennial of Aviation
Our children/students attended Ground School and got to Fly!
The weather was pleasant this April morning at the Claremore Municipal
Airport. Children anxiously awaited the opportunity to fly in a small
plane. Over 50 homeschool students participated.

When names were called, there was no hesitation; just line up and
climb into the aircraft.
Students also attended a Ground School session. This was taught by
Pilot Mike Huffman. Mr. Huffman gave a very educational talk covering
the basics of how airplane control surfaces operate.
Classroom instruction was then followed up with a review in the hangar
where we discussed these features on actual aircraft.
You know you're in for a wonderful flight when the clown waves you
off!
Roger Country CHEF would like to thank the Claremore Municipal Airport
for all their efforts and hard work in offering this exciting event.
