PAYNE COUNTY CHEF

 

Payne Co. CHEF is a friendly group of families with children from toddlers to teens. We have veteran homeschoolers and first‑timers, adopted and blended families, and a variety of denominations represented in our ranks. We are a loving group, supporting each other in real life situations.

 

Our activities have included:

·        CHEF gymnastics at Carson Athletic Center in Cushing

·        Geography and science fair

·        Swimming lessons

·        Field trips to local businesses

·        Guest speakers including WWII and Vietnam veterans and Cushing's first homeschool mom (circa 1980)

·        Autumn hike and fossil hunt

·        Annual school year kick‑off BBQ in August (big hit with the dad's!!!)

·       Mom's support through meetings, phone calls, e‑mail, and prayer

 

Activities are based on volunteer support. Students receive birthday cards and gift certificates from McDonald's. Mom's and Dad's receive cards and blessings for their wedding anniversary. We embrace the idea of courtship and betrothal for our children, seeking God's best for our lives.
